Hmmmmm

Whenever I'm feeling uninspired and just lazy old sketchbooks can really turn the energy back on.

I have a library of old sketchbooks and if my house ever (god forbid) caught on fire I know I would race out of the house with my obnoxious cat under one arm and a few sketchbooks under the other arm.

I think this sketch was inspired by an old batik I did in HIGH SCHOOL!! That I sort of wanted to recreate in a little more detail.

Yup that's the batik piece.....we liked it so much it's still hanging on the wall

Or.....we were too lazy to find and frame something new.   I personally still like the piece. It has a mellow easy quality to it.

Anyyyyyyway

So the batik of long ago spawned a sketch long ago (like a year or two)

Now the sketch might actually turn into something
