I started this bug a while ago

Lost my way

Thought I found it

Lost it again

Then during one of those rare mornings that I get to sleep in I had an idea.....

That happens to me a lot.

I sometimes need to stew about a piece for a while and then sometime during that half awake/half asleep time in the early morning an idea will come to me.

I'm well aware that my creative modes are slightly nuts.

At any rate I started going through some old work (mostly ink and paint sketches)

I'm thinking there might be a few that need to be done on board.

This one is my parents anniversary card

So first off while shopping for produce I fell in love with all the small sugar pumpkins. I of course couldn't just pick one. I had a (or at least what I thought) was an awesome idea - put out a cup full of sharpies and hopefully all the artistic people I live with would be inspired to create a pumpkin masterpiece.

So far it hasn't gone exactly as planned. The two most artistic males in the house clearly will settle for nothing less than carving (which is too early to do - carved pumpkins get gross within days). I think the man-childs (my eldest son and his best friend) are more inspired by sharp dangerous tools than by a simple sharpie. Well boo on them

My youngest more musically inclined child went with a theme

Wish me luck - there are still 3 more naked little pumpkins left
