February's challenge

So I came up with what I thought would be a great idea to motivate myself and my eldest son creatively. My older son Max is an awesome artist. It's really nice living with another artist. You get very different feedback than you would from someone who isn't artistic. Needless to say the both of us are always looking for inspiration so I thought it would be fun for us to come up with a monthly challenge that made us think outside our boxes. The concept was for us to take turns coming up with a challenge that wouldn't be too hard or too time consuming considering how busy we are but yet force us to think creatively.

I came up with the February challenge (no there's no January challenge - my great idea didnt come to me until too late)

Our challenge was to take a non-tranquil photo of an animal. It was supposed to be a live animal.....that's what Max said which totally shot down my idea of getting a great shot of the flying pigs someone decorated their yard with in Newton. Grrrr..... then he convienently forgot and did a non live animal........grrrrr again

Anyway

I purposely chose a photo assignment cuz as I mentioned I'm still getting to know my new camera. I'll be honest mine are a little overexposed but I tried to make that work for the picture

I call this one Inmate #1

Inmate #2

And this one is The Warden
I shot the last one through a hole in a broken window so the llama's butt isn't glowing that's just part of the broken glass

Here's Max's contribution

He used photoshop

I can barely take a picture with my camera

He takes 3 pictures and works them into one

I'm slightly outclassed here I think

Btw my inspiration for this whole monthly challenge comes from the artist Brock Davis

He does some really great stuff

Check him out
