Base colors done, outline done - now time for the details.
My creative mind works oddly....or at least I think so. It was the details of another painting I did that inspired me. At first I argued with myself that I was just repeating myself.
(Hmmm I just used the word myself twice in the same sentence but I really couldn't come up with another way to verbalize my point so sorry if it looks and sounds ridonkulous.)
Then I figured it's not so bad to have similar elements in my painting (that sounded good right?!)
Back to my inspiration - I love the leaves and buds on this particular piece "Zen Flower" (it's in my etsy shop btw)
And I thought the world could use another zen flower - this one in blue - cuz I was really feeling the color blue. I definitely have color days where I will be obsessed with a certain color or a color scheme. It even affects my fashion sense - I can't tell you how many dark earthy purple colored shirts I own. I almost bought a pair of purple boots but I knew my psyche couldn't withstand the heckling I'd get at home (I am the sole female in a house of boys - it's overwhelming at times)

I have also unearthed some of my fiber pieces (aka art quilts)
I'm in the process if rephotographing them so I can list them on my Etsy shop. No easy task to take a picture of an art quilt I tell you! As soon as I manage a decent shot I'll post them. Wish me luck
